Spirent GNSS simulators have been established test solutions in development and test laboratories for many years. Many of our customers have long relied on systems such as PNT X, GSS7000 or GSS9000, together with the SimGEN software suite.
Following Keysight’s acquisition of Spirent, the change is now becoming increasingly visible. The Spirent name is being replaced, while some of the systems and processes behind the products are also changing.
For our customers, one question is particularly important: What does the transition mean for existing GNSS simulators, software licences and support?
The established GNSS test technology remains available. However, there are changes to portals, licence management and support processes. Here is an overview of what users of Spirent GNSS simulation systems should know.
What Is Changing for Spirent GNSS Simulators, Software and Support?
One of the most visible changes currently concerns the digital systems used for support, software and licence management.
Since June 2026, the former Spirent Customer Support services have been moving to Keysight support systems. Software downloads and licence management are also being transferred to the corresponding Keysight platforms.
For existing users, this may mean setting up new access credentials or becoming familiar with different portals and procedures.
The established GNSS simulation environment and proven test solutions, however, remain in place.
From Spirent to Keysight – The GNSS Test Technology Remains
For users of GNSS simulation systems, the most important point is that the PNT portfolio continues under Keysight.
PNT X, GSS7000 and GSS9000 remain part of the GNSS and PNT test portfolio. Established software solutions such as SimGEN and SimXTRACT are now also being provided under the Keysight name.
The former Spirent technologies are therefore not disappearing. They are being integrated into the Keysight portfolio.
What Does the Transition Mean for Lange-Electronic Customers?
For our customers, one thing remains unchanged: Lange-Electronic continues to be your direct contact for GNSS simulation.
We have been working intensively with GNSS simulation technology for many years. Our experience includes not only current systems, but also earlier generations of Spirent simulators and existing GNSS test environments.
The transition currently raises a number of practical questions:
Which products and options will continue under Keysight? How does the new licence management process work? What does the transition mean for existing software and support agreements? Which upgrades are available for existing simulators? And how can an existing test environment be expanded for new requirements such as jamming, spoofing or resilient PNT testing?
We continue to support our customers with these questions personally – from assessing existing systems to planning and expanding GNSS test environments.
